In the 1980s, detailed oil-wax drawings of Aachen motifs were again made, enriched by symbolic BLAUSTICH scenes.
In addition to new cycles of large oil paintings, numerous landscape and still life motifs were created and real, characteristic portraits were commissioned.

Am 16. August 2000 lud die Gruppe BLAUSTICH
zum „Minimal-SESSEL-Empfang 2000“
in der Nähe des Aachener Doms ein.

Bei diesem ersten BLAUSTICH-Event im neuen Jahrtausend wurde gleichzeitig mit der Eröffnung einer Vitrinenausstellung auf "Einladung des SESSELS" aktionistisch und öffentlich ein bedeutendes Bild mit BLAUSTICH von Peter Mainka vollendet:
Das AACHEN-DOM-TRIPTYCHON von 1983 - 85 mit der symbolischen SESSEL-Szene in der linken unteren Ecke der rechten Seitentafel.
In dieser schwebt Kaiser Karls bronzene Brunnen Statue vom Aachener Markt als Bildgestalt über der 1975 von BLAUSTICH feierlich durch die Stadt getragenen alt-ledernen Sitzgelegenheit.
Die symbolträchtige Vollendung und Signierung erfolgt also erst im Jahr 2000 —blaustichig und live— pünktlich zum 1200 Geburtstag des Aachener Domes mit dem steinernen Karls-Thron im Oktogon, initiiert durch die neuerliche Ankunft des Mini-SESSELS.

On August 16, 2000, the BLAUSTICH group
invited people to the "Minimal SESSEL Reception 2000"
near Aachen Cathedral.

At this first BLAUSTICH event of the new millennium, a significant painting with BLAUSTICH by Peter Mainka was completed in a public and action-oriented manner, along with the opening of a showcase exhibition "invited by the SESSEL":
The AACHEN CATHEDRAL TRIPTYCH from 1983-85, featuring the symbolic SESSEL scene in the lower left corner of the right side panel.
In this, Emperor Karl's bronze fountain statue from the Aachen market floats as a figure above the old leather seat ceremoniously carried through the city by BLAUSTICH in 1975.
The highly symbolic completion and signing will therefore only take place in the year 2000 - in blue and live - just in time for the 1200th anniversary of Aachen Cathedral with the stone throne of Charlemagne in the Octagon, initiated by the new arrival of the Mini-ARMCHAIR.

Zur Erinnerung:

Vor einem halben Jahrhundert erschien erstmals in Aachen
der SESSEL.
Auf den Feldern um den Schneeberg herum tauchte er auf, gab sich einigen Aachener Kunstfreunden zu erkennen und folgte ihrer Einladung in die Stadt,
die ihn gebührend empfing.
Dom, Rathaus, Elisenbrunnen waren drei herausragende Stationen im spektakulären Besuchsprogramm
des SESSELS!
Mit einem festlichen Bankett im Ballsaal der ehemaligen
Neuen-Galerie Sammlung-Ludwig und aufsehenerregenden Aktions-Projektionen endete damals in der alten Kaiserstadt der erste
SESSEL-Besuch.
Im Laufe der Zeit danach kam es immer wieder zu erstaunlichen Erscheinungen der besonderen
SESSEL-Art in der Aachener Region;
allmählich nahmen die Ereignisse blaustichigen Charakter an.
Dementsprechend bemühte sich die Aachener Aktionsgruppe BLAUSTICH
die SESSEL-Happenings
Art-gemäß zu begleiten und fachgerecht zu dokumentieren.
Das war im vergangenen Jahrhundert!
Um die Jahrtausendwende herum signalisierte erneut
der SESSEL
seinen getreuen Aachener Kunstfreunden, dem Jahr 2000 mit einem sommerlichen Besuch der Thronstadt Karls des Großen wieder mal einen deutlichen
SESSEL-Akzent
geben zu wollen und damit seiner spielerischen Verbundenheit mit alten und neuen herrschaftlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und Ortsansässigkeiten Ausdruck zu verleihen.
Die „Größe“ des
SESSEL-Ausdrucks
möge diesmal der Minimal-Art entlehnt sein, dafür aber die Nähe der
SESSEL-Erscheinung
zum Karlsthron größtmögliche Bedeutung bekommen.
Diesem Wunsche entsprechend lud nunmehr die Gruppe BLAUSTICH in freundschaftlicher Kooperation mit dem Atelierhaus-Verein Aachen (AHA)
zum „Minimal-SESSEL-Empfang 2000“
in die Nähe des Aachener Domes ein
(wo trotz derzeitiger Rathaus-Krönungs-Ausstellung der Original-Thron
Karls des Großen weiterhin ortsansässig geblieben ist).
Die Ausstellung in den AHA-Vitrinen "Der Sessel kommt wieder" wurde mit einem happening
am Mittwoch, 16. August 2000, um 15.00 Uhr in einer namenlosen Gasse am DOM eröffnet.

may be borrowed from minimal art this time, but the proximity of the

In accordance with this wish, the BLAUSTICH group,
in friendly co-operation with the Atelierhaus-Verein Aachen (AHA)
to the ‘Minimal-SESSEL-Reception 2000’ near the Aachen Cathedral
(where, despite the current town hall coronation exhibition, the original throne of
Charlemagne's original throne has remained in situ).
The exhibition in the AHA-showcases ‘The SESSEL is coming back’ was opened with a happening
on Wednesday, 16 August 2000, at 3 p.m. in an unnamed alley at the DOM.
